With summer in the air there is no better time for a spot of glamping. For those not in the know, glamping is the holiday revolution taking Ireland by storm. To put it simply it’s “Glamorous Camping”.

1. Teapot Lane, Leitrim
First up on our list is Teapot Lane in Leitrim. This idyllic campsite was listed as one of the top 10 luxury campsites in Europe. It offers a range of accommodation including yurts, a treehouse, a vintage caravan and a cottage. Onsite there is a spa, BBQ, hen house, veggie patch and fairy garden.

2.Rivervalley, Wicklow
Located in Wicklow these beautiful microlodges are a wonderful Irish holiday option. Equipped with an indoor sports center this is a great place for families rain or shine.

Located in Cavan, Wildflower campsite is on top of a hill with a fab view of the countryside. The campsite can be rented out by individual accommodation or by the whole site. So a good option for big groups. We love the names of the accommodation in this glampsite:

Located in Portumna in the south east of Galway is Pod Umna Village. This unique style of glamping is designed around camping in these cool pods. Each pod is equipped with electric lights, plug sockets and an oil heater. The campsite is near a forest, the river Shannon, Lough Derg and range of shops and pubs. 7.Ballyvolane House, Cork

Glampers our offered a range accommodation including a native American tee pee, yurts, a log cabin, or an old romantic style caravan called the Rosie Lee. Nearby visitors can enjoy the forest, horse riding, go-carting and a range of shops and restaurants.

9.Chleire Haven, Cape Clear Island, Cork
Located off the coast of Baltimore in West Cork is the beautiful island of Cape Clear. Chleire Haven offers an idyllic campsite for campers and glampers alike.
